Two of my best friends— out of the three brown skinned beauties— bought me this journal for my 21st birthday with my pen name engraved onto the cover, Ventilated. A pen name that I have used since I was 13 years old. The present nearly brought tears to my eyes, because the engraving and leather-bound journal itself possesses so much significance. I am unconditionally grateful for such an emotional and heartfelt gift. Thank you so much Jamie and Tin. I promise to commit my thoughts to these pages with my struggles, experiences, and poetic justices.

Despite my tonsillitis, I at least was able to watch both championship games with Mommy Majesty and the family here at home. And though my 49ers lost— due to petty and ridiculous mistakes by a certain player— I’ll always be fully faithful and proud of them. Gold blooded and SF since diapers, man. Next year is ours!
